As we reflect in the past few months, we are excited to share about our continued efforts in engaging with local community members, organizations, and leaders to amplify the mission of our LA Chinatown Community Land Trust (LACCLT). In our commitment to address affordable housing and displacement, we are thrilled to update you on the recent activities and events that we’ve been a part of. 

We enjoyed seeing so many new and familiar faces. We hope you enjoyed learning more about what LA Chinatown CLT has been working on these past years. We are excited to continue working with you all to move forward our mission of preserving and building affordable housing in Chinatown together.

It was so wonderful to be able to say hi at the Night Market earlier this month! Thank you to everyone who came by our booth and chatted with us about the vision and future opportunities for Chinatown. Big thanks to the Chinatown Community for Equitable Development (CCED) for the opportunity to table the event and to our LA Chinatown CLT volunteers, Bz Zhang and Chih-Weh Hsu, who gave us an enormous amount of support in preparation for that night!

The LA Chinatown CLT will be tabling at CCED's Chinatown Neighborhood Night Market, taking place along Broadway between College Street and Ord Street tomorrow, October 7 between 5 - 9pm. We will be located near the Wong Family Benevolent Association and Superior Poultry. Join us to chat about community ownership, enjoy delicious food, and celebrate a community-rooted and community-led Night Market!

Dear LA Chinatown Community Land Trust Members and Supporters,

We are excited to share about our momentum, and opportunities on the horizon! LA Chinatown Community Land Trust (LACCLT) officially became a 501c3 nonprofit in December 2022. We couldn’t have done it without the pivotal support of our legal aid at Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA). Now every donation we receive is tax-deductible, and every donation makes an impact! Thanks to all who attended our first membership meeting in November 2022. We’re now engaging more with tenant associations, non-profit organizations and community leaders, and identifying opportunities to support ongoing affordable housing efforts, and enhancing our vision as a CLT. Please read on for more updates, and opportunities to get involved.

We would like to invite you to our 1st Annual Membership Meeting where we will share information about the mission of our organization and how to become a member of the LA Chinatown CLT to help preserve affordable housing in our community.
